This really lovely, stand-alone, open-plan gîte is spacious accommodation for a couple but will also accommodate a family of 2 – 4. It offers real privacy located, as it is, adjacent to but slightly apart from the main farmhouse and the Grange. Entry is gained via the south facing double doors which lead directly into the generous dining/living area.
Itfeatures a fully equipped kitchen with four burner gas hob, electric oven and a large fridge/freezer. The adjacent lounge/dining area accommodates the dining table, sofa-bed, wood burning stove and the TV/DVD player. To the rear is the open plan double bedroom with storage and hanger space.
This gite also has a generous, refurbished bathroom featuring a large brand new power shower, hand-basin and toilet.
La Bergerie shares the swimming-pool (which is security fenced) and associated play and park areas with the other gites.
Please note: all gîtes are non-smoking and we are, unfortunately, unable to accommodate pets.

Although it is in the middle of the country side Le Village du Bois is easy to reach. It is equidistant (just 5km – 5 minutes in the car) from the town of Talmont St Hilaire (supermarkets, bars, restaurants, shops, chateau), the marina at Port Bourgenay, the Blue Flag sandy beach at Plage Veillon and an excellent 18 hole championship golf course.
We are just one hour away from the World famous Puy du Fou and La Rochelle, famed for the La Pallice harbour and its beautifully preserved period architecture. Even closer and accessible by car or on bicycle (just a 15 km drive or off-road cycle along le Corniche) are the fabulous beaches, shops, zoo, quayside restaurants and bars of Les Sables d’Olonne; the start point for the famous Vendée Globe Round the World Yacht race.
