A superb spacious gite in the heart of the countryside, very close to the beach & other amenities
This, aptly named, five-bedroom gîte occupies 60% of the traditional 19th century grange. It is exceptionally spacious and has been extensively modernised and renovated.
You enter La Salle des Fétes via the west facing terrace.
The large double French doors lead to a huge open plan dining/living area with exposed Charentaise stone walls, French oak beams and tiled floors throughout. This has a large dining table (for 10) and stocked bookshelves. To the right is a second, equally large but more relaxed space with two comfortable settees/sofabeds and a large screen TV with DVD player. It has a supply of books and games for when you just need to unwind; there is ample comfortable seating for all.
On the other side of the gite through a double action door is the large kitchen. This has all the space and equipment for modern day living; including a large double sink and drainer, four burner hob, fan oven, microwave, large fridge, dishwasher, extensive work surfaces, ample storage and all the pots, pans and utensils needed for your self-catering holiday. It accommodates another large dining table and chairs (also for 10). It benefits from its own south facing external door and window views to open countryside.
To the rear of the kitchen is the generous, modern bathroom with double hand-basins, standard and two wet-rooms (one super-sized) both with jet and rain water effect showers plus two private toilets.
In line with our eco-friendly approach, hot water is supplied by solar powered and electric boilers.
La Salle des Fétes shares the large (10m x 5m) swimming-pool (which is security fenced) and associated play and park areas with the other gîtes. This gite has its own private access to the pool directly from the terrace.
Please note: all gîtes are non-smoking and, unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets during peak season.

The accommodation exceeded our already high expectations; the stone pillars and beams gave a lovely rustic feel. Lovely and clean and extremely well equipped. The pool was a big hit. The owner, John, did everything possible to ensure we had a good stay. Restaurants and beaches were great. Would whole-heartedly recommend this place. We had a memorable holiday! Tom Potter (2019)
